Analysts believe long way ahead for the IAE to earn recognition

KABUL (SW) – Analysts believe the Taliban’s Islamic Emirate would need to do more for governance to earn international recognition.

Russia’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, recently told the media that the Islamic Emirate would not gain political power unless a comprehensive government was formed in Afghanistan. He described the inclusion of all Afghan ethnic groups in the country’s political process as important.

However, some political analysts also say that the creation of an inclusive government is one of the basic preconditions for the world to recognize the Islamic Emirate.

Political scientist Javad Hosseini emphasizes that the Islamic Emirate must comply with the will of the world and its people in order to establish a political system in Afghanistan.

“It becomes an excuse for groups that do not have a positive view of the Islamic Emirate to take advantage of this space and lobby. Inside Afghanistan, too, the nation wants to see a comprehensive government.”

According to Mehdi Afzali, another political scientist, if the performance of the Islamic Emirate is not in accordance with the will of the world, even the main allies of the Islamic Emirate will not support them.

With the rise to power of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, their recognition has been one of the important topics of national and international meetings, but after about four months, no country has yet recognized the government of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan.
