UAE imposes restrictions on exiled Afghan leaders 

KABUL (SW) – The UAE authorities have imposed restrictions on exiled Afghan leaders over there in terms political activities, said an official of the Taliban’s Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan. 

Ahmedullah Wasiq, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, said the UAE has restricted the political activities of all former government officials living in Dubai and other cities in the country.

The deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate wrote on Twitter last night that former President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, Atta Mohammad Noor, head of the Jamiat-e-Islami branch, and Hamdullah Moheb, the former government’s national security adviser, were also included in the restriction.

The UAE has so far said nothing about Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and others whose political activities are said to be restricted.
