Leading psychotherapist killed by unknown armed kidnappers

MAZAR-E-SHARIF (SW) – Nader Alemi, a psychotherapist and neurologist in Balkh, was killed by unknown armed kidnappers last night.

Ghousuddin Ghori, head of the Mazar-e-Sharif district hospital, said Alemi was killed last night.

Nader Alemi was abducted on September 20 near his house in the Nawabad area of Mazar-e-Sharif.

Witnesses said that seven occupants of a vehicle had taken him away under the pretext of treating the security chief.

Nader Alemi was one of the leading psychiatrists in the country. He is the founder of the first private neuro-psychiatric hospital in the north of the country.
