Da Afghanistan Bank official survives bombing in Kabul

KBAUL (SW) – A top central bank official dodged bomb blast in capital Kabul that killed one of his guards amid spate of such targeted assassinations across the country.

According to the Da Afghanistan Bank, the head of conflict resolution at the central bank Abdullah Dawrani survived a magnetic bomb attack at his life. It said the car carrying DAB official blew up due to the magnetic bomb attached to it killing his guard and injuring two people, including Dawrani.

The attack took place in the Shah Sheed vicinity at around 08:15 a.m.

According to the police spokesman Firdaus Faramarz three people got injured in this blast targeting the land cruiser carrying Dawrani.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

Last year, three employees of the DAB, including former Tolo News journalist Yama Siyawash, got killed in an identical bomb blast in Kabul.
