10 lives lost to Covid-19 in past 24 hours

KABUL (SW) – Amid second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday confirmed at least 10 people got killed in past 24 hours due to the Covid-19.

In its regular daily round-up, the MoPH said it had examined the samples of 1961 suspects, of whom 183 had positive results. The fresh cases were reported from 20 provinces from across the country.

It further said that 191 people infected with the virus recovered in this period.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, since the outbreak of the corona virus in the country, 52,330 people have been infected with the virus and 2189 people have died from the virus.

On a global scale, more than 81 million people have been infected with the corona virus with 1.78 million losing their lives to it and over 57 million recovering after infecting. The United States, India, Brazil, Russia and France are the countries with the highest number of coronavirus cases so far.
