HARARE (SW): The hosts Zimbabwe thrashed Afghanistan by 3 runs in the third One Day International (ODI) cricket match on Tuesday in the ongoing five match series.

Thanks to disciplined bowling by the Afghans, the Zimbabweans were reduced to only 129 in the 33rd over of the match. Gulbadin Naib was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets against 27 runs in six overs. Rashid Arman took three, Fareed Ahmad two and Mohammad Nabi took one wicket of the host team.

Chasing this modest target, the guests went off with a shaky start as Noor Ali lost his wicket for zero in the second over. The Zimbabwean fast bowler TL Chattara proved lethal for the Afghans as he kept them under pressure by giving away only 30 runs in his 10 overs and taking three wickets.

Afghanistan lost wickets with quick succession, and it all came down to the 30th over when all team got out with only 126 on the scoreboard.
