KABUL(SW): A campaign to discourage the youth from leaving their homeland and seeking refuge in foreign lands has been launched in Kabul.
This campaign was launched by Youth Empowerment, Participation and Justice Institutions (YEPJI).
This campaign will continue for a month.
The campaigners believe since a lot has been invested in the youth hence the government should create opportunities to utilize the youth’s expertise and also provide them with incentives.
Humaira Qaderi, YEPJI member, told Salam Watandar that it seems the youth is avoiding their responsibilities towards the country by immigrating abroad.
The campaign, which was launched in Darul Aman area in Kabul, put up a show demonstrating the challenges of the immigrants while on their way to European countries.
According to the United Nations’ report, some 381,000 refugees have arrived in Europe this year alone. Around 77,000 of them are Afghans.
