KABUL (SW): Agha Maluk Sahar has developed multiprone software, which he claims can help eradicate electoral rigging, ensure transparency in banking and Kankor systems (university entrance exams).

The 22-year old studies computer sciences at the Kabul University. About his work, Sahar told Salam Watandar that he has worked for two years on this project and by developing this software; he wants to uproot the menace of corruption.

Agha Molok Sahar said that he is still working to further improve the software that has so far cost him $ 1500.

This software is a package of 24 programs, which are divided into two parts names as Emergency and Public Service Divisions. The emergency division deals with making urgent calls to police, hospital and fire station while the public service division deals with election system, Kankor Exam, banking sector, emailing, web-surfing and other similar affairs.

Sahar stressed that through this software, one can vote online for his favorite candidate in elections. He said that if the software is applied for the general elections, the country can save both money and time and it also helps prevent vote rigging.

The program named “Lemar” (Sun) contains a feature similar to Facebook. Yet the only difference it has with Facebook is that fake accounts can be identified in it and one used can only create one account.

To create an account on Lemar, Sahar said that one is required to get registered through either the ID card or passport number. After the required number is entered into the system, a serial number is issued to the user. He added that a number of filters are active to register the users and maximize the transparency. Sahar added that as much as 200 users have already been registered so far at the Lemar.

Agha Molok Sahar stated that the technology is a good tool to eradicate corruption. He added if the government helps him in this regard, he can make his program available in the public sector. He noted that the program can also help job seekers find jobs easily.

He added that as soon as an organization announces a vacant post, the link of the announcement is directly sent to all Lemar users, and since the users are already registered with their detailed identifications they can apply by clicking easily.
