KANDAHAR (SW) – Residents of Uruzgan province on Sunday staged a protest demonstration against the closure of main roads here.<\/p>\n

The protesters gathered in front of the provincial administration compound and blocked its entrance. They demanded the government to take immediate steps towards reopening the key inter-province roads as well as the main Kandahar – Uruzgan highway.<\/p>\n

The protesters also demanded the Taliban insurgents to reopen the roads.<\/p>\n

There have been no comments from the government officials of the Taliba in this connection.<\/p>\n
