Many officials, writers, politicians and the general public have also lamented the death of Layeq who succumbed to injuries he sustained following a suicide attack in Kabul.<\/p>\n<p>He was taken to Germany for treatment where he lost the battle for life at the age of 90.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Sharana, the capital of Paktika province, in 1930, Layeq completed his primary education in Paghman and higher education at the Kabul University&#39;s Faculty of Sharia and Literature.<\/p>\n<p>He was among the founders of the People&#39;s Democratic Party after joining the left-wing political movement in his youth.
