{"id":94606,"date":"2020-05-17T06:04:51","date_gmt":"2020-05-17T06:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/lib\/shirin-tagab-residents-rise-against-taliban\/"},"modified":"2020-05-17T06:04:51","modified_gmt":"2020-05-17T06:04:51","slug":"shirin-tagab-residents-rise-against-taliban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/archive\/shirin-tagab-residents-rise-against-taliban\/","title":{"rendered":"Shirin Tagab residents rise against Taliban"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/swn.af\/pictures\/fileman\/2017_Uploads\/2020\/May\/17\/Faryyabb%202.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>SHEBERGHAN (SW) &ndash; Local officials in Shirin Tagab of Faryab have said a popular uprising against the Taliban has emerged in the district.<\/p>\n<p>Zainullah Zaki, governor of Shirin Tagab district, told Salam Watandar that the locals have seized a number of check posts previously held by the Taliban, including bastion of the Taliban&rsquo;s shadow district governor here.<\/p>\n<p>According to Zainullah Zaki, many residents of the district have revolted against the Taliban&#39;s growing oppression of the people, and the latest snatching of five truckloads of aid sent by Turkmenistan for the needy people of the province.<\/p>\n<p>In conversation with Salam Watandar, a number of residents said they have seized two Taliban bases along with a number of weapons and ammunition.
