According to the local officials, Tetsu succumbed to wounds in hospital.<\/p>\n<p>There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.<\/p>\n<p>President Ashraf Ghani awarded honorary citizenship to Tetsu earlier this year for his services to the country.<\/p>\n<p>The slain Japanese aid worker was widely respected for his work in promoting irrigation and agriculture in this part of the country.
