KABUL(SW): Many cars were standing in the Qalai Zaman Khan Road and each of them performed some construction tasks for this road. One picked the stone, the other put out the soil, and the workers were standing with the shovels and wheelbarrows along the road, working together for the construction of this road.<\/p>\n
The area was covered with the dust due to the road traffic and at the same time the road was being constructed. Many residents in the area were happy for the construction of this road, standing outside and watching the workers work.<\/p>\n
The construction of this road was started many years ago but stopped for unknown reasons. Local residents hoped the work is over soon and open to public. The residents of Qalai Zaman Khan in Kabul being happy for the start of the work on this road said that their problem will be solved with the construction of this road.<\/p>\n
According to local residents, with the construction of this road, the dust will be reduced and also it will be easier for their daily commutes.<\/p>\n
Najibullah, a resident of Qalai Zaman Khan, told Salamwatandar that all the residents were happy for the construction of this road. He said, people are partner in the construction of this rod and will not hesitate to cooperate.<\/p>\n
Abdul Qadus, another resident said; “the construction of this road started soon and part of it is already completed”.<\/p>\n

Mohammad Eisa Shafi, head of Lawyer’s Council of 16th<\/sup> District said; the destruction of this road has added to the people’s problems and he went to the Municipality of Kabul requesting the construction of this road. Mr. Shafi added that all barriers have been removed from the sides of the roads and roads are widened to some extent. According to him, families whose homes were along the road have been convinced that the constructions of the roads were in the best interest of all.<\/p>\n A number of travelers also told that they faced lots of problems traveling on this road before and most of their times were spent passing along this road. They said that since the construction started they have seen comfort in their commutes and they are hopeful that with the completion of the work their problems would be completely resolved.<\/p>\n The officials of the Qalai Zaman Khan Road construction project said that the cost of the project will reach $10 million and this money will be paid from the Kabul Municipality’s budget.<\/p>\n Dilawar Khan Sapi, Chief Executive of this project said that the width of Qalai Zaman Khan Road is 60 meter and the work on this road began in the begging of the year 1396 (Marrch – April 2017). According to Mr. Sapi, this road will connect Qalai Zaman Khan to Ahmad Shah Baba area and Banayi stop. Mr. Sapi mentioned the obstacles and the challenges of land ownership on this road as challenges and he thought if these challenges are handled in few more months the road will be open to public.<\/p>\n This road starts from Banayi stop and continues to Shadab Zafar apartments. The two bridges which are set to be on the road, Padshah Khan Bridge and Shina Bridge will be reconstructed.<\/p>\n The officials of the Qalai Zaman Khan Road construction project told us that the Municipality of Kabul will begin the reconstruction of other roads in Kabul soon and they are committed to this goal.<\/p>\n They are happy with the cooperation of the people and said that very little opposition is seen from people for the construction of roads.<\/p>\n <\/span>The resident of Qalai Zaman Khan Area wanted from the Capital’s Municipality to monitor the construction of roads and to build the roads with high quality and standard.<\/p>\n ENDS<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Many cars were standing in the Qalai Zaman Khan Road and each of them performed some construction tasks for this road.
