The smell of trash and sinking in this river is very annoying for the pedestrians and viators. But the Capital City Development Authority has just begun the Cleaning Project of this River.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0px 0px 13px\">For the moment, 6.5 millions USD is set aside for the completion of this project and part of this money will be paid from the government budget and the remaining will be paid by United States Agency for International Development or USAID.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0px 0px 13px\">Ilham Omar Hotaki, Director General of the CRIDA said &ldquo;by implementing this project on one hand, the Kabul River will be cleaned and, on the other hand, job opportunities will be created for some residence of the Capital&rdquo;. <span style=\"margin:0px\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0px 0px 13px\"><span style=\"margin:0px\">According to Mr. Hotaki, about 70% of the first phase of the Cleaning of Kabul River from Artal Bridge to Abdul Haq square has been completed, and the next phase will begin soon. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0px 0px 13px\"><span style=\"margin:0px\">Nearly 800 workers are busy cleaning the river in one part of this project and 200 people in the other part which totals a thousand workers who are working in the Cleaning Project of Kabul River.
