{"id":85581,"date":"2017-08-22T10:33:35","date_gmt":"2017-08-22T10:33:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/lib\/ghani-visits-kandahar-to-assess-security-situation\/"},"modified":"2017-08-22T10:33:35","modified_gmt":"2017-08-22T10:33:35","slug":"ghani-visits-kandahar-to-assess-security-situation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/archive\/ghani-visits-kandahar-to-assess-security-situation\/","title":{"rendered":"Ghani visits Kandahar to assess security situation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" height=\"640\" src=\"\/2017_Uploads\/2017\/August\/22\/20953788_1405782989497939_186179873605115134_n.jpg\" width=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>KANDAHAR CITY (SW): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani visited Kandahar on Tuesday to assess the security situation.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a gathering here, the President said he came to meet victims of the latest incidents and assess the overall security situation in the southern parts of the country. &ldquo;Kandahar is the political heart of Afghanistan when the heart is upset the whole body gets upset&rdquo;, he said while urging upon the need for peace and stability.<\/p>\n<p>The President assured the gathering about the government&rsquo;s efforts against corruption and towards ensuring peace and stability. &ldquo;We have initiated a serious campaign against corruption. We have visited districts and had talks with the locals. We have taken measures towards ensuring the independence of the judiciary.
