Gulab Mangal, governor of Nangarhar province, said on the occasion this project worth $ 2.497 million was initially contracted to the Afghan-German private company in the year 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Ali Ahmad Osmani, interim minister for the MoEW, told the inauguration ceremony the project would have 19 power transformers. He underlined a number of other power supply projects are also in sight for Nangarhar besides efforts for the reconstruction of Daronta Dam.<\/p>\n<p>Locals in Jalalabad have long been complaining about the shortage of electricity supply.
