SAR-I-PUL (SW): 14 more civilian captives have been released from the Taliban and Daesh captivity from Mirza Olang village of Sayad district of Sar-i-Pul province on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Local officials said that the 14 people were released on Wednesday night as a result of intervention by the elders of the village.<\/p>\n

Zabiullah Amani, the spokesman for the governor of Sar-i-Pul, told Salam Watandar that children and elders are also present among the released captive.<\/p>\n

Although the governor’s spokesman did not provide information on the exact number of people still in captivity with Daesh and the Taliban, however, a local source who did not want to be named, told Salam Watandar that a number of families are still in the captivity of the insurgent groups in Mirza Olang.<\/p>\n

According to Amani, so far, 52 civilians have been killed, 18 have been injured and 249 have been freed from the Taliban and Daesh militants in Mirza Olang.<\/p>\n

The Taliban are rejecting their involvement in killing civilians, have said that they have killed only people’s uprisings fighters in clashes in Sayad district. The Daesh insurgents have has not yet expressed an opinion on the matter.<\/p>\n

The spokesman for Sar-i-Pul governor said that security forces have been deployed in Sar-i-Pul province to recapture Mirza Olang village from the Taliban and Daesh, but so far the operation has not started.<\/p>\n

According to local authorities in Sar-i-Pul, the military operation will be led by the commander of the 209th Shahin Corps.<\/p>\n
