KABUL (SW): Dozens of members of Uprising for Change Movement poured to the streets of Kabul in protest against the government on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The protesters held a mock coffin of the National Unity Government (NUG) on their shoulders and once again demanded the resignation of the President, the Chief Executive Officer, Hanif Atmar, the advisor for National Security Council, and security bosses of the country. They also demanded justice for the protesters who were shot dead.<\/p>\n
The members of the movement gave the government a 20-days ultimatum warning that if their demands are not met they will turn Kabul into the capital of protests of the world.<\/p>\n
The protestors passing a 5 article resolution said: “The leadership of NUG, with negligence and resorting to undemocratic strategies, has threatened the achievements of the international community, which continues to pose a concern over the collapse of the system to citizens more than ever”.<\/p>\n
The members of the movement said that they have been demanding the resignations and justice since past 2 months, but so far none of their demands are met by the government.<\/p>\n
Omar Ahmad Parwani, a member of the movement, said to give justice to the protesters who were killed during the movement, the movement is submitting petitions to Supreme Court, Attorney General’s office, Human Rights Commission and representatives of United Nations in Kabul. <\/p>\n
The members of the movement demanded from United Nations and human rights organizations to prosecute the leaders of the government in connection with the shootings of the peaceful protesters under the violation of Human Rights Treaty in the International Criminal Court.<\/p>\n
The movement also called the draft law for protest demonstrations and rallies against the Constitution, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, other treaties and the civil and political rights.<\/p>\n
The Uprising for Change Movement, started just two days after a deadly blast claimed 150 lives and injured 413 people in Kabul on March 31st. On the first day of the peaceful protests, 6 protesters were shot dead by the security forces and 10 more got injured.<\/p>\n
