KABUL (SW): Experts on legal affairs have lamented the National Unity Government (NUG) for failing to implement laws on all citizens equally.<\/p>\n

Since Saturday, supporters of Kamran Alizayi, head of Herat’s provincial council, have poured to streets in protest against the judgment passed by the Afghanistan’s Anti-Corruption and Justice Center (ACJC)'s primary court against Alizayi.<\/p>\n

Nazari Paryani, a journalist and analyst, told Salam Watandar there are people in the political circles of the government that encourage powerful men to achieve their own political agendas. “Government is unable to enforce law on armed men. Powerbrokers in the government are paving a way to make Kamran Alizayi a powerful figure in Herat”, added Paryani.<\/p>\n

Hadi Miran, another expert, believed that prevailing insecurity in the country has crippled the government from enforcing laws properly. He further said government’s reluctance to prosecute Aliyazi will emboldened other armed and powerful men.<\/p>\n

But, Dawa Khan Minapal, deputy presidential spokesman, told Salam Watandar the government has never politically dealt with the criminal cases. “The government enforces law on citizens equally”, said Minapal.<\/p>\n
