CHIGHCHIRAN (SW): Provincial authorities in Ghore have said local warlord’s men pushed a women from a valley then dragged her behind a horse until she died.<\/p>\n

Masooma Anwari, head of provincial directorate of women’s affairs, confirming the incident said that Sayed Ahmad, a local commander had raped the women 8 months ago. “The victim was pregnant too”, informed Anwari. She blamed the provincial security officials and administration for the death of the woman.<\/p>\n

Farida Nasiri, head of women affairs at the provincial chapter of Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC), and Gulsoom Rezayi, a provincial council member, have also confirmed the incident. The woman was returning from general public hospital of Feroz Koh district with her daughter when she was mercilessly killed..<\/p>\n

Salam Watandar wished to talk to Sayed Ahmad, the local warlord, but to no avail.<\/p>\n

But, Abdul Hai Khatibi, provincial governor’s spokesman, has rejected these the report. He said the woman died when she fell from a horse travelling along with village elders to resolve a court case.<\/p>\n
