The authorities said the government has plans for the preservation of heritage sites in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Rasool Bawari, acting minister of the MoIC, said Afghanistan has at least 5000 historic sites and artifacts. &ldquo;Out of these historical sites 1460 are registered and more than 800 of such sites are introduced as historical&rdquo;, added Bawari.<\/p>\n<p>According to the acting minister of the Ministry, currently 58 historic sites are under reconstruction.<\/p>\n<p>The authorities said preservation of the historic monuments and sites is the duty of every citizen of the country.
