Malik Ghulam Nabi, owner of the plant, informed it has cost some $1.5 million in which the USAID has contributed 15 percent. &ldquo;The plant can process 5 tons of rice in 1 hour&rdquo;, added Nabi.<\/p>\n<p>According to the owner, the plant has 50 employees, but has created employment for over 4 thousand people indirectly.<\/p>\n<p>Local farmers and rice traders in the area have expressed optimism towards this new factory in Nangarhar&rsquo;s Behsud district.
