NILI (SW): A female member of the Daikundi provincial council has charged the female governor for letting her husband interfere in government affairs.<\/p>\n
Masooma Ahmadi is the governor of Daikundi province and according to a number of civil society activists, her husband Khalil Ahmadi has full access to the documents at the governor’s office. Somia Mohammadi, a member of the provincial council, told Salam Watandar that ever since Masooma Ahmadi has been appointed as the governor for the province, her husband has been influencing here decisions.<\/p>\n
The PC member said that the governor’s husband has a free hand in appointments and does not allow his wife select anyone based on merit.<\/p>\n
Sakhi Sadat, one of the civil activists in Daikundi, also accused Khalil of threatening his opponents in the local government.<\/p>\n

Reza Wahidi, a columnist and civil activist, has urged upon the government to prevent those who do not have any official responsibility at the governor offices from interfering in the affairs.<\/p>\n
He said that Khalil has found himself a position as secretary for the governor and keeps issuing directives.<\/p>\n
The governor, however has discarded these claims, and said that her husband has never interfered in the affairs.<\/p>\n
She added that these are all conspiracies by those who are after personal gains and privileges. Khalil, her husband, has also discarded the allegations.<\/p>\n
