{"id":82516,"date":"2016-07-19T08:03:56","date_gmt":"2016-07-19T08:03:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/lib\/taliban-cut-off-roads-to-pakitias-six-districts\/"},"modified":"2016-07-19T08:03:56","modified_gmt":"2016-07-19T08:03:56","slug":"taliban-cut-off-roads-to-pakitias-six-districts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/archive\/taliban-cut-off-roads-to-pakitias-six-districts\/","title":{"rendered":"Taliban cut-off roads to Pakitia\u2019s six districts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/Uploads\/2016\/2016 Online\/7 July\/19 Jul\/paktia (2).jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>GARDEZ (SW): Local officials in the southeastern Paktia province have said that the Taliban have cut-off land routes to the province&rsquo;s six districts from the provincial capital Gardez.<\/p>\n<p>The Taliban have reportedly taken control of the Andam area in the province&rsquo;s Mirzaka district that connects six districts with the provincial capital.<\/p>\n<p>Mouhammad Ayub Wardak, head of security at the Paktia police headquarters, has said in this regard that the rebels have planted roadside bombs and have blown-up connecting bridges.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/Uploads\/2016\/2016 Online\/7 July\/19 Jul\/paktia - Copy 1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He however, vowed that the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) are busy in the clean-up operation and would soon clear the area. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The locals however, complain that they have been under the siege since yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of passenger and goods carrying vehicles are stuck on the roads on either side of the area under the Taliban&rsquo;s control.
