{"id":82482,"date":"2016-07-16T06:58:00","date_gmt":"2016-07-16T06:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/lib\/unesco-constitutes-a-charter-for-afghanistan\/"},"modified":"2016-07-16T06:58:00","modified_gmt":"2016-07-16T06:58:00","slug":"unesco-constitutes-a-charter-for-afghanistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/archive\/unesco-constitutes-a-charter-for-afghanistan\/","title":{"rendered":"UNESCO constitutes a charter for Afghanistan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/Uploads\/2016\/2016 Online\/7 July\/16 Jul\/014-unesco-flag.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>KABUL (SW): The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization&nbsp;(UNESCO) in Afghanistan has managed to constitute a charter for its operations in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Shakir, Secretary General Afghan National Commission for UNESCO said this move would help streamline the operations of this organization in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the launch of the charter here on Saturday, he said that UNESCO&rsquo;s tasks for support in the fields of education, science and culture would improve with the help of this charter.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Shakir noted that from now on, the interested ministries and foundations can present their proposals to UNESCO in accordance with the new charter. &ldquo;This (Charter) would streamline UNESCO&rsquo;s work in Afghanistan&rdquo;, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The new UNESCO charter has 3 chapters and 20 articles.
