KABUL (SW): Kamal Sadaat, Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs, has said that the government has drafted a five-year national strategic plan for youth in cooperation with other ministries and international organizations.<\/p>\n
He added that officials have travelled to various provinces of the country to develop this national strategic plan, which is based on the regional standards.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a press conference on finalization of the plan, he said that the plan has covered youth’s unemployment, paving the way for their higher education, health, sport and security.<\/p>\n
According to him, once this strategic plan is implemented, nearly 1 million youth would benefit from it.<\/p>\n
“If private sector and the United Nation continued to support and cooperate with us, the strategic plan would enormously benefit the youth in the country.”, he noted.<\/p>\n
He further said that jobs would be created for those educated and skilled young Afghans who return to their motherland.<\/p>\n
Dr.Bant, an official at the United Nations Population Fund (UNPF) for Afghanistan, vowed to support Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs regarding this crucial strategic plan.<\/p>\n
She said that they were committed to support youth affairs office and other ministries regarding implementing this strategic plan.<\/p>\n
More than 154,000 Afghan youths left the country for Europe due to unemployment in the 2015 alone.<\/p>\n
