KABUL (SW): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has urged upon the officials to make sure the development budget in the coming year is fully spent.<\/p>\n
Addressing the consultative meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers here on Thursday, Ghani stressed all ministries should prioritize their plans in line with the approved budget. This comes a week before the Wolesi Jirga (lower house) convenes after its winter break.<\/p>\n
Approval of the budget for the next fiscal year remains on top of the WJ agenda. <\/p>\n
The President said in his remarks that revenue generation remains a concern for the government but spending it wisely was not easy either. Ghani also underlined the need for better coordination among the all three organs of state.<\/p>\n

The President further said that he would have detailed conversations with the all governors about best utilization of the fiscal budget for the coming year.<\/p>\n
It is vital to note that never in the past 13 years, the government has been able to utilize the whole of its development budget.<\/p>\n
