KABUL( SW): A number of civil society activists in southern Ghazni province accused the government of indifference regarding security situation.<\/p>\n
The activists at a press conference today (Saturday) in Kabul said that the government sent a delegation to Zabul and Ghazni a while ago where they promised to conduct military operation in Khak-e-Afghan district in Zabul but no operation has been conducted so far.<\/p>\n
They warned that if the government did not pay attention to ensure security at Ghazni-Kandahar highway or launch a mop-up operation in Khak-e-Afghan district, Daesh would cause a great catastrophe.<\/p>\n

Ghulam Sakhi Khaled, one of the civil society activists, said that Daesh has been increasingly influencing in Khak-e-Afghan district.<\/p>\n
Khaleqdad Akbari, a member of Ghazni provincial council and a member of the delegation sent by the government to Ghazni and Zabul, however told SalamWatandar that based on the decision by the delegation, the mop-up operation has already started in Khak-e-Afghan district.<\/p>\n
He said that once Khak-e-Afghan is cleared of the enemy, the threats would vanish and the kidnapped would also be freed from the district.<\/p>\n
It is said that Khak-e-Afghan district in Zabul and Nawa district in Ghazni have long been under the Taliban and other terrorists groups’ control.<\/p>\n
According to some reports, all the passengers who were kidnapped by the Taliban and Daesh are being held in Khak-e-Afghan district in Zabul.<\/p>\n
