PUL-E-KHOMRI(SW): Delawar Aimaq, Baghlan Representative in the Wolesi Jirga (lower house) said that unidentified choppers have recently provided the Taliban with ammunitions in Dand-e-Ghor area in the province.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the session on Wednesday, he said that the government and national security council have not taken any action against it.<\/p>\n
He claimed that the deal signed by the government “with the militants” in Dand-e-Ghori has backfired as currently Pakistani generals have set up their camps in the area and are active.<\/p>\n
According to some reports, a while ago the government signed a deal with the Taliban in an attempt to bring peace in Baghlan province in particular in Dand-e-Ghori area.<\/p>\n
Ministry of Frontiers, Nations and Tribal Affairs however, denied these allegations stating that the deal was signed with the tribal elders in a bid to allow tribal elders in Baghlan to ensure security in the area and some other parts of the province.<\/p>\n
Abdul Rauf Ebrahimi, the Wolse Jirga speaker said that it was a serious issue that needed to be probed.<\/p>\n
He asked the security commission of the house to summon security officials to make it clear.<\/p>\n
SalamWatandar tried to have the views of the Ministry of Defense and the NDS on the issue but to no avail.<\/p>\n
