Rahemullah, Provincial Director Security Affairs told SW the incident took place in the Khero Karez area near the provincial capital. &ldquo;The insurgent shot fires at a local elder Abdul Ghani last evening and got wounded in fires shot back by men who were praying along Abdul Ghani&rdquo;, Col. Rahemullah said.<\/p>\n<p>He said, later the wounded insurgent was shot dead by Abdul Ghani&rsquo;s wife.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate incident in neighboring Kandahar province, a vaccination team member lost life to a landmine in the Takhta Pul district. Samim Khpalwak, spokesman for the provincial governor told SW a team of vaccinators was on its way back to the provincial capital when their car hit the mine.<\/p>\n<p>Seven members of the team got wounded in this incident.
