Initially, the toll was announced to be 12 dead and 33 wounded. However, a well-placed security source that wished not to be named in the report told Salam Watandar 27 soldiers got killed and 79 others got wounded in this attack.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to this, the directorate of public health had confirmed 44 wounded soldiers were brought to the government hospitals and 35 more were taken to private hospitals for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The provincial officials have said it is not clear yet how the attacker managed to enter the mosque inside the ANA base.
