Local officials claim higher-up were warned against the deadly assault days ago, but no measures were ensured to avoid the casualties.<\/p>\n<p>Claiming credit for the assault, the Taliban vowed to have killed more than 50 soldiers here.<\/p>\n<p>However, provincial police chief, Mohammad Maroof Ahmadzai, has only acknowledged killing of three soldiers and 11 rebels.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;According to reports, the Taliban&rsquo;s lethal &lsquo;red unit&rsquo; was involved in this attack.
