{"id":78224,"date":"2018-05-16T09:51:01","date_gmt":"2018-05-16T09:51:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/lib\/government-publically-apologizes-over-kunduz-air-raid\/"},"modified":"2020-12-19T10:46:05","modified_gmt":"2020-12-19T10:46:05","slug":"government-publically-apologizes-over-kunduz-air-raid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/archive\/government-publically-apologizes-over-kunduz-air-raid\/","title":{"rendered":"Government publically apologizes over Kunduz air raid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" height=\"562\" src=\"\/2017_Uploads\/2018\/5- May\/16\/\u06a9\u0646\u062f\u0648\u0632 (3).jpg\" width=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>KABUL (SW): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Wednesday publicly apologized for the deadly air raid in Kunduz province last month, which claimed multiple civilian lives.<\/p>\n<p>Condoling the loss of civilian lives with the grieving family members at the Arg (presidential palace), President Ghani said unlike &lsquo;conspirators&rsquo;, the legal government in Afghanistan sees itself accountable and seeks apology for injustice towards the nation. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He also directed to erect a memorial for the martyrs, building a grand mosque in the area of the air raid and extra care in air raids to avoid repeat of such tragedies. &ldquo;The Afghan government, and especially the Ministry of Defence, seek apology from the families of the victims over this incident&rdquo;, Ghani said.<\/p>\n<p>The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA)&nbsp;announced last week, the raid claimed at least 36 lives and wounded 71 more.
