{"id":77870,"date":"2018-04-11T08:57:25","date_gmt":"2018-04-11T08:57:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swn.af\/lib\/algerian-military-plane-crashes-killing-at-least-257\/"},"modified":"2020-12-19T10:40:50","modified_gmt":"2020-12-19T10:40:50","slug":"algerian-military-plane-crashes-killing-at-least-257","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swn.af\/archive\/algerian-military-plane-crashes-killing-at-least-257\/","title":{"rendered":"Algerian military plane crashes killing at least 257"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" height=\"347\" src=\"\/2017_Uploads\/2018\/4- Apr\/11\/airplane 2.jpg\" width=\"616\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">KABUL (SW): At least 257 passengers were killed as a result of a plane crash near the Boufarik airbase in Algeria, 200 of whom were military personnel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Algeria&rsquo;s Defense Ministry said the plane slammed into a field shortly after takeoff from a military base in Boufarik, however, the reason for the crash is still being investigated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Scores of emergency workers and 14 ambulances rushed to the crash site, immediately transferring wounded to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some local newspapers reported that some Polisario group members were among the passengers.
