KABUL (SW): The former Pakistan ambassador to Afghanistan, quoting a source in the Taliban, said the delegation of Taliban visited Pakistan to discuss negotiations with the Afghanistan government with their leaders in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Mullah Shuhabudin Dilawar, a member of Taliban’s leadership team, a few days ago went from Qatar to Pakistan heading a delegation of Afghan Taliban to meet the Pakistani officials on the request of Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Former Pakistan Ambassador to Afghanistan, Rustam Shah Mohmand said in a conversation with Salam Watandar that the delegation of Taliban has insisted on its previous position that their negation should be with the United States not with the government of Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Mohmand said the new thing that has emerged in the talks between the Taliban and Pakistani officials is that the Taliban wants the Pakistani officials to consult the leaders of this group about the methods and locations of the future negations with the government.<\/p>\n
According to a credible source, Pakistani intelligence or ISI officials told Taliban, a month ago that their increased group travel to Afghanistan has put Pakistan under international pressure and for this reason they should reduce their frequent commute across the border. However, ISI has promised them that after repatriating the Afghan refugees, the Taliban will be stationed near the border and ISI will support them.<\/p>\n
Mohammad Ishaq Atmar, a political commentator told Salam Watandar that Pakistani officials and Taliban have been trying to decrease the international pressure on Pakistan and deceive the United States once again.<\/p>\n
Faiz Mohammad Zaland, another political commentator said that the Afghan government should never expect that Pakistan supports peace in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
The US government has vowed to suspend its international aid to Pakistan until it takes serious actions against the Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani network terror groups.<\/p>\n
