Women protest in Takhar to apprehend the murderers of Samiullah

TALOQAN (SW): In a protest around ten women from the family of a youth, Samiullah, who was murdered in Taloqan city a few days ago, want justice from the government in Takhar province.

The women gathering in front of the provincial administrative building on Monday said that Samiullah was killed 6 days ago by a person named Farid in the Qulborse area of Taloqan city, and now the murderer is living in the house of Noorullah, an irresponsible armed man.

Sawya, the victim’s mother, wants the government to apprehend the culprits and prosecute them. According to her, the local war lord killed her son by overdosing him with alcohol and drugs.

But, Sanatullah Timor, the provincial governor’s spokesman, said the police have arrested 3 people on the basis of the family's claim, and if the judicial authorities order another person’s detention, the person will also be detained.

On the other hand, 2 unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle shot dead 2 brothers in Qarabayi area of Taloqan city on Monday evening.

Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani, the provincial police chief, said the perpetrators of the incident were arrested by the police and are now under investigation.
