SHEBERGHAN (SW): A married woman in Jawzjan province has been killed by her brother for marrying out of family’s wish ten years ago, local authorities in Jawzjan province informed on Monday.
Mohammad Reza Ghafoori, spokesman for the provincial governor, informed that the woman named Latifa married to a man of her own choice some ten years ago after escaping from her home. Her brother Mohammad Nabi killed her at her residence in the Proja Je area in provincial capital Sheberghan.
The woman is said to be native of Qosh Tapa district, and has left four sons behind. Ghafoori said the culprit has fled the site of crime, but police is searching for his whereabouts.
