KABUL (SW): The Wolesi Jirga (lower house) on Saturday vehemently condemned the brutal oppression and killings of Palestinians by the Israeli security forces, and relocation of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
A resolution unanimously adopted by the house pronounced these actions as inhuman, and demanded the Muslim world to take actions against it. The resolution also criticized the international community and rights organization for their alleged silence on the matter.
Taking part in the debate on this matter, Abdul Rehman Rehmani, member of the house, said Israel has once again committed crimes against humanity by killing scores of Palestinians protesting against the relocation of the U.S embassy to Jerusalem/ Baitulmuqaddis.
The WJ also urged the Organizaito of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to devise a unified strategy against the Israeli aggression. It also demanded the UN to investigate the incident, and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The relocation of the U.S. embassy was accompanied by fresh Israeli violence against unarmed Palestinians. On Monday, at least 62 Palestinian demonstrators were martyred by Israeli troops — and thousands more injured — near the Gaza-Israel security fence.
U.S. President Donald Trump has justified the relocation of the embassy despite widespread opposition and condemenation.
