WJ calls for dragging Pakistan to the UN

KABUL (SW): The Wolesi Jirga (lower house) on Monday called for dragging Pakistan to the UN for meddling in Afghan affairs.

The house debated over the death of the Taliban supreme leader Mullah Mansour in a US drone strike inside Pakistan on Saturday. The WJ members charged Pakistan for backing the Taliban rebels and fuelling terrorism in Afghanistan.

Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, speaker of the house, said on the occasion that the killing of Mansour inside Pakistan clearly demonstrates that the country is brazenly harboring the rebels and violating all international norms by allowing the Taliban to kill innocent Afghans in terrorist acts.

A number of members called upon the government to drag Pakistan to the UN.

Shenkai Karokhel, a female member of the house, said in her remarks that the world should now have no doubts about the wicked plans of Pakistan and hence take serious measures against it. Obaidullah Barakzai, another member of the house, emphasized that the Taliban have their leadership inside Pakistan and they serve the spy agency ISI. He feared that Mansour’s death would not weaken this rebel group and the Kabul government should take measures on the global level against them.

The US defense department Pentagon announced the death of Mansour on Sunday that was later confirmed by the Afghan spy agency NDS and by the US President Barak Obama.
