KABUL (SW) – The Wolesi Jirga (lower house) had summoned top security officials over deteriorating security, but none of them appeared on Monday which angered the members.
Muhammad Eqbal Safi, a member of the house, accused the security officials over their alleged failure in preventing fall of Ghazni province. He said dozens of security forces are getting killed on daily basis due to weak leadership.
Ali Akbar Qasemi, another member of the house, said security cannot be ensured by replacement of top officials. He added the National Unity Government has failed to bring security in its tenure so far.
Shekeba Hashimi, another member of the house, criticized the response of security officials, and added in a country such as Afghanistan, every day is a mayhem and dozens of lives are lost on daily basis.
This is not the first time the security officials have not shown-up after being summoned by the house.
