KABUL (SW): Afghanistan’s men’s wheelchair basketball team defeated India in the qualifying tournament for Asian Para Games hosted by Thailand.
In this qualifying tournament, the Afghanistan team lost to Thailand and Chinese Taipei teams, however, in the third match defeated India with 37 points with a difference of 73 points.
Kabir Khusbin, the head of the Paralympic Committee’s press office said the Afghan team will play against Malaysia tomorrow.
On the other side, Afghanistan’s women’s wheelchair basketball team today (Wednesday) defeated Cambodia by 33 points and difference of 26 points and will play against Thailand tomorrow.
Afghanistan’s women’s wheelchair basketball team has defeated India and Laos in the two previous matches.
In the qualifying matches for Asian Para Games, 6 women teams and 8 men teams have participated in two groups. The games will end on the 11th of March with the announcement of the winning teams.
