
GHAZNI(SW): Gazni Provincial Council members said that security situation in Andar district of Ghazni province is getting worse and all the traffic routes in this district have been closed and that the Taliban has reached 100 meters to the district center.
Amanullah Kamrani, a member of the Ghazni Provincial Council, cautioning the government’s neglect, warns that the Taliban will hold the Andar district if the situation continues.

Mohammad Arif Noori, the spokesperson for the Governor of this province said that Taliban’s assault on the city and all districts were retarded, but Taliban’s refuge in the residential homes in Andar district has slowed down the assault of the security forces on them.
According to Mr. Noori, continued air strikes are targeting Taliban positions, and assistant forces are stationed in Andar district. He assured that Andar district will never fall to Taliban.
Taliban’s attacks on Andar district of Ghazni began three nights ago. Taliban blew a Hamvee vehicle full of explosives in the district building that killed 41 soldiers and wonded 20 others; according to Abdul Jamai Jamai, member of the Provincial Council.
After this incident, the Taliban’s attacks on the Andar district intensified.
