KABUL (SW) – Spokesmen for the electoral commissions told a presser here on Tuesday the votes without the biometric verification would be considered illegitimate.
Ali Reza Rouhani, spokesman for the Independent Election Complaint Commission, said if it was proved with concrete proofs that the employees of the electoral commission have committed negligence or electoral crimes, they should be referred to legal institutions.
There has been reports about votes casted at different polling stations without the biometric verifications. Such reports have resulted in harsh criticism from the candidates and electoral watchdogs.
