KABUL (SW): At least 80 people have been confirmed dead, and more than 300 wounded following a massive blast in the heart of the capital Kabul on Wednesday.
Mohammad Ismael, spokesman for the Ministry of Health, has confirmed that 80 people have lost lives and some 319 are wounded in this attack.
The blast reportedly occurred at the Zanbaq square close to the diplomatic enclave. An overwhelming majority of the victims are civilians. A security source who wished not to be named told Salam Watandar a truck/ tanker loaded with explosives caused that blast. The blast was so intense it shook the ground, and shattered glasses in buildings in various parts of the city.
