KABUL (SW) – The U.S. Forces – Afghanistan has confirmed that one of their planes has ‘crashed’ in Ghazni province.

The USFOR-A Spokesman Col. Sonny Leggett said in a statement that it was a U.S. Bombardier E-11A that crashed today in Ghazni province, Afghanistan. 'While the cause of crash is under investigation, there are no indications the crash was caused by enemy fire. We will provide additional information as it becomes available', he tweeted.

Earlier, Taliban claimed to have brought down a plane allegedly belonging to the CIA. Zabihullah Mujahed, the Taliban spokesman, said in a statement that the plane was on a “spy mission.” “All staff and passengers, including key officers of the CIA, have been killed,” he claimed.

Earlier Monday, reports said a passenger plane had crashed in Ghazni province.
