JALALABAD (SW) – At least two people got killed in a blast at the regional office of the Citizens’ Charter in Jalalabad on Thursday, officials confirmed.
Attaullah Khogyani, spokesman for the provincial governor, said the incident took place in the restive Khogyani district. He said district chief and four female workers of the CC are among those wounded in the blast. He said the blast was caused by an IED placed inside the office.
Seperately, Najibullah Kamawal, director public health, told Salam Watandar a total of seven people got wounded in the blast. A number of people had gathered at the CC office for a gathering when the blast took place.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
