JALALABAD (SW) – Two young men have been brought to a private hospital in Nangarhar with their penises cut off.
A doctor, who wished not to be named, told Salam Watandar the boys are native of Behsud district, and aged 15 and 20 years. The boys were discharged after the basic emergency treatment.
In the provincial capital, Dr. Rafiullah Amin of the Jalalabad Regional Hospital, has also confirmed the incident. He said the boys could not be treated in the province, and hence left of the capital Kabul for further treatment.
The circumstances leading to this bizarre incident are not clear yet. Rumors circulating on the social media suggest the boys attempted to rape their cousin in the night, which resulted in the girl’s family cutting off their penises.
