KABUL (SW): Turkish Prime Minister – Binali Yildirim arrived in Kabul today heading a senior government delegation to meet the high-level government officials in Afghanistan.
After meeting with some officials of the National Unity Government, PM Yildirim, at a press briefing with the CEO of NUG, talked about the expansion of bilateral cooperation, the continuation of these cooperation, the joint struggle against terrorism, the expansion of economic ties between the two countries, the agreement to transfer the management of Afghan-Turk schools to government of Turkey and some other issues.
The Turkish Prime Minister supported the improvement of the relations between Afghanistan and Turkey and the recent actions of the president with regards to peace talks.
Abdullah Abdullah, the CEO of NUG called Turkish PM’s visit to Kabul a sign of the strong relations between Afghanistan and Turkey and informed that the government of Turkey will host a trilateral meeting between Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkey in May 2018.
CEO Abdullah Abdullah also said that in his meeting with the Turkish Prime Minister, they have also discussed the issue of Afghan immigrants in Turkey.
The Turkish PM will also meet with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani during his visit.
