SHARANA (SW): Members of the Wazir tribes on both sides of the Durand Line demolished a southeastern entry point gate erected by Pakistan security forces.
Hundreds of tribesmen gathered in the Paktika province on Thursday to demolish this concrete structure. Rahim Kham Khushal, leader of the united civil society organization, said on the occasion that up to nine thousand men came for the demolition of this gate from both sides of the Durand Line.
Qudratullah Waziri, a local elder in the Barmal district said in his remarks that Pakistan would never be allowed to divide the tribesmen with such moves. He added that tribesmen on both sides of the Durand Line are of the opinion that Pakistan has no right to erect installations in the Afghan territory.
This comes at a time when the Pakistani authorities have erected a number of similar installments on various points with Afghanistan at the Durand Line.
