PUL-I-KHUMRI (SW): Some 300 jerib land has been allocated in Baghlan province to establish a township for the members of the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF).
This township would be built for retired military officers and security forces’ survivors.
Safar Mohammad, the mayer for Baghlan city, stated that the government would develop a township for retired military officers and security forces’ survivors in Kilagai area of Dushi district in the province. He noted that the government is committed to develop townships for the ANSF.
Safar Mohammad added that the town, which would be built on 304 jeribs of land, would consist of 590 residential units. He explained that the township would have school, mosque and other facilities as well.
In the meantime, Gen. Atai, a retired military general, expressed his contentment and welcomed government's plan of building township for the Afghan National Security Forces. ANSF men in the province asked the authorities to quickly complete this project, and noted that such moves by the government would boost the moral among security forces and encourage the citizens to join the security forces.
Local officials in the province announced that the government would also develop another township in Baghlan for more than 800 people with disabilities.
